The original flavour

Since both cocoa and oats come from plants, this product is more than okay for vegans and everyone else, if said vegan or said everyone else is into chocolate drinks. Which most people are. Today, it’s common knowledge that oats can taste like whatever oats desire, but chocolate was the first flavoured oat drink we made, and for many, it remains a favourite. The chocolaty flavour comes from combining our creamy liquid oats with Cocoa Horizons Foundation cocoa under a mass balance approach*. No dairy, no soy.

*The Cocoa Horizons Foundation allows mixing with other cocoa while maintaining sustainability commitments. Cocoa sourced under the Cocoa Horizons program supports farmers’ livelihoods, protects human rights, is deforestation-free, is traceable back to the farmer, and is third-party verified. • How do you calculate the climate footprint of this product?

We gather data on greenhouse gas emissions from grower to grocer and put it through a platform called CarbonCloud that uses 20 years of research in the food-system field to crunch the numbers and get the final carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) number. When the counting and analyzing are done, an impartial verifier professional double-checks the calculations. Basically, our numbers are scrutinized by people who really know what they’re doing. • I hate Oatly but I don’t know how to put it in words.
