This product has a very interesting story to it. First we took Oatgurt Natural and added&nbsp;big red strawberries. We did this because strawberries taste good and when we asked them what they would like to hang out with, they answered: Oats! It didn’t take more than about 30 seconds&nbsp;before&nbsp;the product developers were going crazy. “Did you hear that? The strawberries said oats, they said oats!” And that was all it took for the&nbsp;product developers&nbsp;to cram as much healthy coolness&nbsp;as they could into a one liter package. What coolness? How does vitamin D2 sound? Or&nbsp;riboflavin? B12? Extra calcium? More? We promise to stop there if you go to the fridge and pull out a carton and pour&nbsp;some&nbsp;into your favorite bowl. Oh, that’s the other thing, we have already stocked your fridge just in case you made it all the way here&nbsp;to the end of this sentence.

Keep refrigerated at 8 C. No milk, no soy, no whatever. Real big strawberries. Oatgurt is a very odd word, yes it is.

The strawberries are real. What’s so amazing about that you ask? Nothing really. But there are a lot of products out there that claim to be strawberry and don’t really have any real strawberries in them. A sign of the times maybe, but we like the old fashioned approach that says if you call it strawberry, you put strawberries into it. And while we were at it, we picked out the best strawberries we could find. We’ve also enriched this product with vitamins and calcium so that you pretty much get a balanced meal in each spoonful.

We have added some sugar to this product and the reason we have done so is that we want it to taste really great. It’s easy to say just cut the sugar but that doesn’t work on everything. Our feeling is that the first time you try this product you’ll most likely compare it to yogurt and since there is sugar in yogurt, we needed to add a little to keep you interested until the oats could begin to work on your tastebuds. One more thing before you go: because our products consist of carbs, unsaturated fat, protein and powerful soluble fiber, they pack energy from multiple nutritional sources and not empty calories from sugar. So when we say added sugar, it is sugar but not sugar. If that makes sense.

Oatgurt Strawberry

If you&rsquo;re on this site for the first time and have never tasted our Oatgurt Natural:
Oatgurt. It may sound like the noise a jungle animal makes, but it's really a spot-on name for this product. Because just like yo-gurt, oat-gurt is amazing with granola or berries or in a smoothie or in recipes, etc. And it has a similar consistency to yogurt. Yeah, both are pretty awesome. But they are not the same because yogurt is made with milk and has no oats, while Oatgurt is made with oats and has no milk, which is probably pretty obvious, but it also means Oatgurt has betaglucans* and unsaturated fat.**
The alternative was to call our Oatgurt "fermented oat base" but it just doesn&rsquo;t have the same ring to it. Or sound anything like a jungle animal.

Some favorites, despite their favorite standing, can use some improvement, so we tinkered a little with our Oatgurt Natural and the result was so good we just had to update all the&nbsp;Oatgurt Natural&nbsp;in the world! So if you suddenly don&rsquo;t recognize your Oatgurt, it's probably because we did the following: Increased the acidity a little, removed the flavoring, added a special salt to round out the flavor and some extra protein too, all while making it even whiter and creamier.
* Betaglucans are good for the heart. As a part of a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, they contribute to maintaining normal cholesterol levels in your blood. One 250 ml glass of Oatly provides a third (1 g) of the daily requirement of betaglucan.
** Replacing saturated fat in unsaturated fat helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.

Making decisions can be annoying. So we created Oatgurt Blueberry Raspberry. It’s a perfect compromise, without being a compromise at all. Because it has a smooth, creamy, berry taste and it won’t ask you to weigh the pros and cons of one berry vs. another. It’s so nice for breakfast, a snack or really anytime (we would rather not choose which occasion).

As we’ve already mentioned, you don’t have to take a stand on whether you’re a blueberry person or a raspberry person. You also don’t have to choose between calcium or vitamins (D12, riboflavin, B12) or unsaturated fat from rapeseed oil — we’ve made sure you get it all in this one Oatgurt. How thoughtful is that?

If you think Oatgurt Blueberry Raspberry will taste like a mix of half blueberries/half raspberries, you might be setting yourself up for disappointment because it actually tastes a little more like blueberries than raspberries. But don’t worry, the raspberries are there, and they give the flavor a nice boost. You could say that behind every successful blueberry is a raspberry (but only if you are fine with saying pretty dorky things). We also added some sugar (5%) to make the nice berry taste pop.

Because it's kind of like “So what?” Vanilla flavored&nbsp;yogurt isn’t the most original idea for a new product. If we were introducing say, our Salted Carmel ice cream or the superstar Barista Edition, then I, the writer, could write "Hey! Check this out! Wow!”&nbsp;But really, there isn’t that much to tell you here, nothing that you didn’t already know. Just that we now have Oatgurt Vanilla and that vanilla tastes delicious, as everyone knows who has ever tried anything with vanilla ­­­­­­­– so, literally everyone.

(Just to clarify: Oatgurt Vanilla is totally smooth and creamy, without much saturated fat, and the flavor combo of oats + vanilla is brilliant, without being too sweet. Good, now we’ve straightened that out.)

Oatgurt Plain

So if we wanted to incorporate geography into the name of this product, why not Oatgurt Landskrona Style? It would have been more logical, since this product was both invented and manufactured in Landskrona, Sweden. And even though this amazing stuff is used in the same way as Greek yogurt, it is far from Greek yogurt — theoretically, even further from the yogurt part than from the Greek part, since it is completely free of dairy, while the Greek city of Thessaloniki is only 2,399 kilometres from our factory in Landskrona. Of course all of this is really, really far off from what we are here to tell you about on this webpage which is that Oatgurt Greek Style has a thick, smooth and creamy texture combined with a fresh and pleasantly sour flavour. Not to brag, but this is among the best* products we have ever created, if not the best webpage copy.

Stir before enjoying, okay? Also, keep it in the fridge. An opened package lasts at least five days. Unopened, let the date stamp be your guide. What really matters is smelling, looking and tasting. Insider tip: If it&rsquo;s stored properly in the fridge it often lasts longer than the best-before date, so you&rsquo;re good.

You might call this product a kitchen workhorse, if you like to speak in metaphors. Hot recipes, cold recipes, room-temp recipes (also called snacks), whatever you got, it&rsquo;s ready to make it all really great. Other nice things are the calcium, iodine, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D2 and the fact that the 10% fat comes from rapeseed oil which is high in unsaturated fat &mdash; you know, the good kind.* Another bit of amazingness we should mention is that the container can be recycled as paper (the same as TetraPak), so if you are making a &ldquo;why should I try this stuff&rdquo; list, you can check the sustainability box, too.
* All our other products are also among the best we have ever created, but still.

At first I, web-writer person, wrote “nothing" here but then I realised it may seem a bit less amazing that the list of ingredients is quite long. So I talked to Sofia, our innovations director, and she let me know that yes, some of the ingredients are difficult to pronounce but that doesn’t mean they are artificial or bad or whatever. They’re all on the list, and in the product, for a reason. Without potato starch and pectin, for example, Oatgurt Greek would not have its creamy texture, and I would have something really less amazing to write about here.

Oatgurt Greek Style

Is there anyone in the world who doesn’t like strawberries? That is a pretty pushy opening line really, because if you do not, in fact, like strawberries you are now probably feeling like this is the kind of Oatgurt Strawberry webpage where you have to pretend to like strawberries just to fit in, which isn’t true of course. But just so you know, you can find the Oatgurt Blueberry webpage here. Anyway, this product is creamy and delicious and you can enjoy it just like you would enjoy strawberry yogurt, except it is made from amazing oats grown from the soil of the earth that are thoughtful enough to skip the cow altogether.

Of course, a product as great as Oatgurt Blueberry requires a lot more than just lovely oats and blueberries. Besides some science-based magic thrown in by our product development team, rapeseed oil is along for the ride, providing the aforementioned creamy texture, as well as unsaturated fats — the good kind,* in case there was any confusion. A nice amount of calcium and iodine has been added too, plus some vitamin D2 and vitamin B12. If you decide to try this product, you can look forward to sorting the empty container as paper in the recycle bin the whole time you’re eating it. That has to be worth major bonus points, for sure.

If you were expecting our Oatgurt to have live cultures, this paragraph will disappoint you. But it does have a bit of good news: Our product development team shares your expectations and usually, when they think a great product would be even better if it was a certain way, it eventually becomes that certain way in the form of a “new and improved” version. After a number of workshops, brainstorming activities and highly sophisticated blind taste tests, we finally landed on our latest innovative addition to the Oatgurt family:

It’s guaranteed to be our best flavor yet, if you love raspberries. Otherwise, it may not be our best flavor, but it’s still a pretty good one. Imagine an early summer morning. You walk barefoot down to the raspberry patch behind your charming red cottage with white shutters, you pick some juicy raspberries and then mix them into a smooth and creamy Oatgurt. Yes, depending on how well your imaginary raspberry patch is doing this year, that is exactly how this Oatgurt tastes.

There’s finally an Oatgurt for all of you who think raspberry is the best. It’s also amazing that the raspberries in this Oatgurt (thanks to enrichment) are hanging out with calcium and vitamins (D2, riboflavin, B12), plus the addition of rapeseed oil to the party means that every spoonful contains nice unsaturated fat (the good kind that you want to be hanging around with your raspberries).
